Body Count directed by Ruggero Deodato in this Italian Horror Classic on DVD

Body Count (1986) is a slasher/horror film directed by Ruggero Deodato, best known for Cannibal Holocaust.

The story follows a group of young people vacationing at a remote campsite in the mountains. Their getaway turns deadly when a masked killer begins stalking and murdering them one by one. As paranoia spreads through the group, they realize they may be trapped with someone who knows the area—and is determined to keep killing.

The movie has a very mid-1980s Italian slasher feel: isolated wilderness, attractive young campers, simmering interpersonal drama, graphic murders, and a mysterious killer whose identity is gradually revealed. It mixes the traditional American “summer camp slasher” formula with Deodato's more visceral European horror style.
