A year after her child's tragic death, Gina Vrandall (Melissa Gilbert) catches a glimpse of her daughter's lookalike and begins a frantic search to track her down.

Confused and frightened, Gina seeks out her mysterious friend Nikos (Thaao Penghlis) who helps in her search but also fears a confrontation with the double. Her therapist (Frances Lee McCain) desperately tries to maintain Gina's sanity while her mother (Diane Ladd) stubbornly refuses to believe in her "hallucinations".

In a frightening conclusion, Gina must face her fears and come to terms with the terrible truth about her own mysterious past.
