Iconic filmmaker, Tim Burton, Directed the movie “BIG EYES” which was written by Scott
Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. Together, this team tell the story of Margaret and Walter
KEANE, and their 11 year ruse of big-eyed paintings.

The movie tells the story of a woman who in the 1950s and 60s, was taken advantage of by
her husband and how she overcame this adversity, and finally painted in court before a federal
judge and jury, to prove that she was indeed the real artist.

The book is full of behind the scene images, illustrating design, costumes, sets, and
cinematography. You will be able to read original interviews, see very personal photos
from Margaret, and really get a sense of what life was like for her during this period.

The book has 40 images of Margaret’s work, most from the period she was married to
Walter, and there are some recent paintings featured as well.
