ShadowHunter starring Scott Glenn, Benjamin Bratt in this western horror movie on DVD

Scott Glenn plays John Cain, a burned-out Los Angeles homicide detective whose personal life is falling apart. His captain sends him to a remote Navajo reservation in Arizona to bring a murder suspect, Nakai Twobear (Benjamin Bratt), back to Los Angeles.

But Nakai isn't an ordinary murder suspect. The people who know him fear that he possesses mystical powers and can transform into a supernatural creature known as a skinwalker or “coyote man.” When Nakai escapes, Cain finds himself pursuing him through a vast and hostile desert landscape, with tracker Ray Whitesinger (Angela Alvarado) becoming his uneasy ally.

The pursuit becomes increasingly terrifying as Cain realizes that he isn't simply hunting a dangerous criminal—he may be hunting something that isn't entirely human. Alone in the wilderness, Cain encounters strange visions, unexplained deaths, and supernatural forces that begin to blur the distinction between reality and nightmare. The deeper he travels into the desert, the more his own fears and weaknesses are turned against him.
