The Mighty Heroes cartoons on a 2 DVD set with extras

When a great city is threatened by a wide assortment of supervillians, they shoot up the fireworks to summon the Mighty Heroes. This sextet of stumble bum heroes go out to confront the menace at hand, and with a great deal of difficulty, usually carry the day.

The series aired as a Saturday morning cartoon, with a Mighty Heroes story told in two parts, and a classic Mighty Mouse cartoon shown in between.

This series was created by Ralph Bakshi at a pitch session where Terrytoons offered their show concepts to the CBS executives.

This 2 dvd set includes 12 original episodes of The Mighty Heroes 1^st season, in great quality and color, REGION 0 format.

The MH episodes are... The Shrinker, The Monsterizer, The Plastic Blaster, The Frog, The Junker, The Ghost Monster, The Stretcher, The Drifter, The Shocker, The Enlarger, The Toy Man, The Duster, and The Paper Monster.

PLUS an original episode of The Mighty Mouse / Mighty Heroes show from 1967, with some cool commercials for Honeycomb cereal with the Honeycomb Kid driving a rig pulled by two mountain lions; plus US Keds sneakers and two kids riding a bus and driving everyone crazy with their Kid Code Clickers, and a great, rare commercial for Pillsbury Moo Juice, and a rare 1967 Funny Face Drink commercial, and they were still advertising "sugar Free", and another rare Quisp and Quake, where Quake is visiting a travel agency looking for a nice vacation spot, but just not Planet Q where Quisp lives. The cartoons are The Drifter with the Mighty Heroes, split into the beginning and ending segment, and 2 Mighty Mouse cartoons... The Lazy Little Beaver and The Jail Break. and a CBS Sports promo for USA Soccer, and the Stanley Cup playoffs.  PLUS an original episode of Mighty Mouse Playhouse, no commercials and has opening and end titles. PLUS an original episode of The Astronut Show, also no commercials but has original opening and end titles.
