Waikiki is a 1980 ABC television crime drama/action film, also known as Waikiki Mission. It was directed by Ron Satlof and produced by Aaron Spelling and Douglas S. Cramer. It was filmed on Oʻahu and originally broadcast on April 21, 1980.

The story takes place in the glamorous, sun-drenched world of Waikiki, Hawaii, where a series of young women are being brutally murdered. The killer becomes known as the “Cane Field Murderer” because the victims are found in the sugar-cane fields.

The police initially arrest a local cab driver after evidence appears to connect him to one of the murders. Captain McGuire, played by Darren McGavin, and Detective Cassie Howard, played by Donna Mills, are involved in the investigation. However, the cab driver's family believes he has been framed and brings in two unconventional private investigators to find the real killer.

Those investigators are David King (Steve Marachuk) and Ronnie Browning (Dack Rambo). They're a contrasting pair: David is a streetwise New Yorker, while Ronnie is a more laid-back California type. Their normally carefree lives—filled with beaches, boats, women and the Hawaiian lifestyle—are interrupted when they take on the murder investigation.

As they investigate, they discover that the murders are connected to a much more sinister conspiracy involving wealthy local figures. The detectives must determine who is actually behind the killings while trying to keep their wrongly accused client alive.
