Praying Mantis is a 1993 made-for-TV psychological thriller directed by James Keach and starring Jane Seymour, Barry Bostwick, Chad Allen, and Frances Fisher. It originally aired on television in the United States on August 11, 1993.

Jane Seymour plays Linda Crandell, a beautiful, intelligent and seemingly charming woman who conceals a deadly secret. Linda has a pattern of seducing men, marrying them, and then killing them shortly after their weddings. She keeps their wedding rings as souvenirs.

Her next target is Don McAndrews (Barry Bostwick), a widower who owns a small-town bookstore. Unlike Linda's previous victims, however, Don comes with a teenage son, Bobby (Chad Allen), and his suspicious sister-in-law Betty (Frances Fisher). Betty immediately distrusts Linda and begins to suspect that something is seriously wrong with her.

As Linda becomes increasingly determined to make Don her husband, she uses manipulation, deception and increasingly dangerous tactics to eliminate anyone who threatens her plans. The film's central tension comes from watching Don and his family gradually become entangled with a woman whose seemingly perfect exterior hides a murderous past.
