White Ghost starring William Katt in this action packed thriller on DVD

White Ghost (1988) is an action film directed by BJ Davis that centers on Lieutenant Steve Shepherd (played by William Katt), a U.S. Green Beret who disappeared in the jungles of Vietnam on July 4, 1972, and was presumed dead. Fifteen years later, the U.S. government discovers that Shepherd is alive and has been living a reclusive, "Tarzan-like" existence in the Vietnamese jungle, having never stopped fighting. The US army finds out about him and sends a black ops team to rescue him. However, the team is led by a man who wants White Ghost dead.

As the mission unfolds, the mercenaries enter the jungle and find themselves hunted by Shepherd, who knows the terrain and moves through it like a phantom. He uses traps, ambushes, and guerrilla tactics to strike from the shadows, turning the rescue-or-capture mission into a deadly cat-and-mouse fight. The team must battle both the hostile jungle and Shepherd’s relentless attacks, while the lone soldier’s years of survival have made him a formidable opponent.
